Artist: Chris Pizarro

In order to fully actualize his ever-evolving artistic expression, Cris Pizarro used the abstract genre to capture reality.  Contrary to popular belief, abstract is the toughest concept to define because it can never be contained and has an infinite amount of meaning. Therefore, it is the artist’s responsibility to capture all of it without sacrificing its boundless core.

Chris is also a well-known muralist and diorama painter.  The La Naval mural at the Light and Sound Museum in Intramuros is one of his creations.

• 2003 – Commisioned to paint 15 pieces Diorama of Philippine History (Cupang Elementary School, Museo Pambata, Muntinlupa City)

Serenitree series of Pizzaro’s world. An adventurous journey of his colourful years. The balance of material uses kusot wood as the base of his material.

The highlight of these pieces is the magical feel  of the trees that shows radiance and amusement. With a feel of comfort and a calming ambience.

The artist’s personality shows and flows with the colour palettes. That shows the characters of the trees that give a warm energy and vibrant feel.
