Whisper of Hope
"It only takes a muster seed of faith to move the highest mountains."
This exquisite piece of art that showcases the artist's brilliant skills as a symbolist painter. Gil Maningo is an elusive artist whose figure style was greatly influenced by the famous artist Egon Schiele. This painting depicts a woman calmly relaxing in a chair with her eyes closed as if lost in thought or prayer. What sets this artwork apart is the use of gold leaf as a base for the painting. Gil Maningo then adds multiple layers of paint, and hidden in them are symbols that hold a profound meaning. These symbols add to the overall look and mood of the piece, making it a mesmerizing work of art.
FOVEO
"Life is precious, and the greatest treasure is hidden in it." — Osho Gil Maningo, with resolute understanding, has mastered the ebb and flow of allowing things to fall into place. His strength, held in reserve, amplifies trust. As a medium of the divine, he surrenders. As a multidisciplinary artist, a world full of play got bestowed upon him. Everything is grace, he says. To experience its illumination in every aspect of life is the message of his art. The tedious process of experimentation he delves into underscores the gift of curiosity. In it, one stumble. But such is life. His work exudes a knight's courage and a courtier's confidence. It embodies the Sprezzatura — concealing the conscious effort that went into each piece, often done with difficulty. Ultimately, with awe expressed, we are held as its audience.
Gil Maningo strongly believes that his faith in God's plan gives him the courage to overcome challenges and fears. It allows him to experience the joy there is in life. According to Gil, every person has something they cherish, whether conceptual, abstract, or tangible: lavish or miserly. It is a requirement in life that one holds dear to something. But we realize our treasure only when we step out and experience life as an adventure. ______________________ Foveo means "to cherish" in Latin.
The Forgotten Church
“A message to youth. We are living in a society where gratification comes from material things and fulfilled ambitions; we forget to remember where our blessings come from. We focus so much on living the high life that we neglect to nourish our spirituality. As a result, depression, anxiety, and fear of failure lurk and consume weak spirits. But do not be discouraged, for in the moments when we are at our darkest. He shines. Waiting and welcoming.”
Gil Maningo, a symbolist painter, skillfully depicted the House of God as an old church that has stood the test of time for centuries. Despite the dilapidated state, with broken roofs leaning on stone walls, the Church stands tall and strong. Its magnificence serves as a reminder that it is present and waiting for those who seek its comfort
