Born in 1968 in Daet, Camarines Norte, Hermes Alegre is a Multi-awarded artist. He graduated from the Philippine Women’s University, Majoring in Fine Arts, where he studied under notable artists Ibarra dela Rosa and Mars Galang.
Education: He graduated from the Philippine Women’s University (PWU), where he was a Benitez Scholar and studied under masters like Ibarra dela Rosa.
Exhibitions: He has held over 10 major solo exhibits globally, including shows in Singapore, New York, Belgium, and Germany.

Winner of the National Painting Competition (Philippine Motors Association).
Recipient of the National Book Award for his collaboration with National Artist Francisco Arcellana on the children’s book The Mats.
Named a Provincial Treasure Awardee of Daet, Camarines Norte.
