Trained in classical figurative tradition, Nilo Badajos appears to conform to the rules set by his precedents. But he is by no means a slave to it; throughout his art career, he has challenged his style and reinvented his craft, developing his own technique of painting the human figure, as well as mastering the nuanced interplay of light and shadow in his works.
