Bayanihan

This work by Dynamic Impressionist artist, Teody Racuya is a beautifully rendered painting that encapsulates the age-old tradition of a community working together to carry the Nipa Hut house from one place to the other. Racuya amazingly used his extensive knowledge of Chiaroscuro to differentiate the ones who are pulling and pushing. His paintings serve as a reminder of how Bayanihan is not just a tradition but a way of life for Filipinos. The Bayanihan spirit is a testament to the resilience and strength of the Filipino people, and it continues to inspire and unite communities across the country.

Fishermen at Sea

Our fishing industry is primarily composed of local fishermen who brave the seas day in and day out to catch one of our most basic necessities: food. However, recent political and national issues have caused our fishermen to face even more danger. With their small boats and flimsy fishing nets, Teody’s latest creation serves as a gentle reminder that those who risk their lives for our basic needs are the most defenseless.
