Halogeny is inspired by the structure of DNA — the spiral blueprint of life. In this sculpture, fish circle a fishing village in a double-helix form, symbolizing how culture, memory, and nature are passed down like genetic instructions. The village represents tradition; the fish, continuity. From this foundation, a tree rises — new life nurtured by generations of knowledge and connection to the sea. The title blends “genesis” (beginning) and “halos” of the ocean, reminding us that from strong roots, something new can always grow.
